Kombat Cup Power Rank
As the dust settles after KIT17, the top 6 of Infused | Daze‘s power rank becomes more and more stable.
Sylverrye keeps his top 10 spot since nobody can contest with him this time. With a decent placing at KIT, it feels like the only thing that’s keeping him from getting into top 5 is his character. He did show us a Possessed Kenshi during the tournament but it didn’t work as expected. Right now he’s doing fine in points for the Kombat Cup, so he might have a chance to prove himself in the final week.
Tweedy disappointed himself once again at KIT. The look on his face when he lost was frightening. As somebody who spends a lot of time working towards a goal, it’s horrible to lose again and again. It feels like players have figured him out, but does he have the strength and perseverance to keep trying and get the top 8 he deserves?
YungMonster dropped a few ranks and his brother is above him now. It’s weird to say what exactly happened the week he won…was it just a flash of brilliance or can he place more regularly? What happens when his game-plan doesn’t work? Why does it all fall apart sometimes and sometimes it works wonders? He has to ask himself these questions so he can improve.
With a great performance at KIT and another decent placing at the Kombat Cup, Raptor slowly crawls towards the top 5 spots. His Scorpion is a flashy but efficient killing machine. Can he win a tournament though? Scorpion isn’t known to be a character that’s able to do that. If it can be done, it’ll be done by Raptor.
Revet has being putting up a great show. His risky pressure with instant air overhead/lows keeps the opponents guessing. However, against someone as confident as SonicFox, it’s hard to win using mind-games like these.
Scar missed another week and yet remains uncontested. Everyone under him didn’t manage to place well last Kombat Cup. We can’t wait to have him back!
Destroyer keeps his 4th spot with another appearance in the semi finals and again falling to Semiij. It seems that Predator’s pressure can be easily interrupted by Mileena and her teleports. She can also get out of the corner with ease.
Suffering a crushing defeat at KIT, Dragon just can’t seem to catch a break from Sonic. As he said on a recent stream by Pig of the Hut, it seems like he can’t adapt to Sonic’s style. However, nobody can downplay Dragon’s skill after seeing how he can open people up using footsies.
Sadly, Semiij’s placing at KIT didn’t meet the online standard we’re used to seeing. However, we did see more and more of his pocket picks. Is Semiij shying away from Mileena and going to a more counter-pick style now?
He casually won NEC, skipped a week from Kombat Cup, and came back to defeat RevetLeafing, Dragon and Semiij. After taking KIT, Sonic, once again, looks unstoppable.
